Each year our chapter, along
with the assistance of another campus organization, performs a teeter-totter
fundraiser for a selected charity. Basically, our chapter's and the
other group's members ride on a large see-saw for a set number of hours. Pledges are made for the
time each member stays on the teeter-totter. Our past teeter-totters
have benefited the American Heart Association and the United Way. The
2005 teeter-totter was performed with the members of
AUM's Circle K organization
and $5,200 was raised for the American Red Cross to assist victims of
Hurricane Katrina.
