All members of
Lambda Chi Alpha, associates and initiated members alike, are expected to
conduct themselves according to the following basic membership obligations:
I
I will know and understand the
ideals expressed by my Fraternity's rituals and will strive to incorporate
these ideals in my daily life.
II
I will respect and abide by
all Fraternity laws, regulations, and policies.
III
I will respect the dignity of
all persons; therefore, I will not physically, mentally, psychologically, or
sexually abuse or haze another human being.
IV
I will strive for the highest
academic achievement possible and will practice academic integrity.
V
I will be active in all
aspects of the Fraternity and the institution.
VI
I will always meet my
financial obligations in a timely manner.
VII
I will strive to bring into
the Fraternity any man who would benefit from an enriching fraternal
experience and who would strengthen the Fraternity.
VIII
I will neither use nor support
the use of illegal drugs; I will neither misuse nor support the misuse of
alcohol.
IX
I will protect the health and
safety of myself and other human beings.
X
I will at all times conduct
myself as a gentleman and as a responsible citizen and will hold members
accountable for their conduct.
XI
I will respect my property and
the property of others; therefore, I will neither abuse nor tolerate the abuse
of property.
XII
I acknowledge that a clean and
attractive environment is essential to both physical and mental health;
therefore, I will do all in my power to see that the chapter property is
properly cleaned and maintained.
XIII
I will try to enhance every
Fraternity member's experience in any way possible. I will challenge all my
Fraternity brothers to abide by these fraternal expectations, and I will
confront those who violate them.

Failure to abide by these basic obligations
can lead to the end of an associate's membership and subject initiated members
to penalties including suspension and expulsion.
